This is book EIGHT in the CREED SERIES. I noticed some negative reviews on some of his earlier books, luckily I read the the first books in the series and didn't start with number 5, 6, or 7, (START AT THE BEGINNING PEOPLE). I made the mistake of reading "Lethal Experiment" first, but enjoyed it so much I went looking for more. It's much better if you read them in order: (1.) Lethal People (2.) Lethal Experiment (3.) Saving Rachel (4.) Now & Then (5.) Wish List (6.) A Girl Like You(7.) Vegas Moon (8.) The Love You Crave.
I love his books, and yet never heard of him until I received my Kindle at Christmas. His books are (LAUGH OUT LOUD) funny, even in public, which I have many times since I started reading them and that's a head turner believe me. If you need to be lifted his books are fantastic to make you forget all the problems in your life. I read occasional pages to my husband and he even laughs, which is soooo rare.
For the money his books are a most entertaining purchase, as I've paid much more for a lot less.

This is the 8th book in the Donovan Creed Series. I read John Locke's new book with some trepidation as often authors disappoint me when they have written a number of books with the same characters. They seem to run out of ideas and the books become routine and uninteresting.
I am pleased to report, that John Locke didn't disappoint me at all. It was one of my favorites in the series. There were many twists and surprises that were very satisfying and I couldn't wait to finish it, yet didn't want it to end.
It is helpful to read all of the Donovan Creed series in order as each book, while they can stand alone, build on each other. In fact, I have decided to re-read all of them because they contain complexities, I am sure that I missed the first time around and will add to my enjoyment when the next Donovan Creed book is written.
I encourage you to give John Locke's books a try. They are funny, sometimes shocking, but always entertaining.
I love John Locke and I love Mr Donovan creed! I agree with the other reviewers, you must start at the beginning to fully appreciate the characters and the books themselves. I started with Saving Rachel and although I liked the book, I decided to start from the beginning of the series and then I loved them even more. They are very fun and enjoyable books and their price is a steal. I own a salon and have recommended them to many of my avid readers for a break between serious books. I love the fact that there is a new book every few months and I look forward to each one! I truly am a John Locke fan and I suggest his Donovan Creed series for anyone who enjoys a fun and outrageous read!
This story had it's moments. There were several lines that made me laugh out loud. I have not read the Donovan Creed stories in order and wonder if this particular story SHOULD have been read in order. I definitely enjoyed the first Creed stories more than the last few that I have read.
I love reading about Donovan Creed. The boooks are pretty short, but interesting. I am always excited to find a new one that has been published. Five stars to the author for finding a way to make it affordable for the reader! So many publishing companies charge more for the digital copy than the paperback. So glad this isn't the case with this author.
If you want to read something witty that will keep you on your toes then this series is for you. I have read the whole series and each book is fresh. I like the author doesn't flashback constantly. In my opinion, too many flashbacks are just filler for the book. This author knows how to get the point and keep you interested at the same time.

Donovan Creed is not for everyone. He can be raunchy, often over-the-top antics/stories; but entertaining in full force. These books are NOT about 'facts', they're about being entertained and John Locke delivers big time. Try a sample, you'll know if it's for you. If you're a Donovan Creed fan, you'll love this...though there's an element of the story that kinda had me squirming/uncomfortable; but, that's all part of a good book for me, to be taken down a road I wouldn't normally travel.
I really enjoy the Donovan Creed series; I believe it is all cyber novels through with no printed editions available, and the novels are quite brief compared to typical printed novels, but the series is fun and a little crazy to read. I mean, really, who would think they would identify and root for the main protagonist who happens to be a professional assassin and a lover of beautiful women.....but who also is a tender and loving father and dedicated and loyal friend to a very few others. It's so unreal that it's fun to just go with it and enjoy the ride--kind of thing.
I really hate it that I love the Donovan Creed novels so much. They are my dark chocolate in book form. I read one and can't stop thinking about it. I usually read literature. Why this draw for me? Is this my dark side slipping out through the cracks? Why do I worry so much that John Locke will stop writing and leave me without my next fix? So seriously, these books are sexist, dirty, and yet terribly fun. If you can laugh at a sexist hit man, give it a try. But don't say I didn't warn you about how fun these books are.
